Social Registry System
The development of an integrated social registry system will improve the capacity of the Ministry of VSA to coordinate social programs, target beneficiaries and respond to disasters and other shocks. The system will support needs assessments, registration, identification and selection of the people in most need and the vulnerable.
In preparation of the social registry, a socio economic needs assessment (SENA) will be conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of TEATT. The objective of this assessment is to collect information from persons living in Sint Maarten. The household survey will help the Ministry of VSA to identify households in long term poverty and those heavily affected by Irma. The goal is to collect information from at least 14,000 households.
